Pannithadam Mathur Shiva Temple – Kunnamkulam - Festival - Unique Rudraksha Shivling

Mathur Shiva Temple is located at Pannithadam in Kadangode village on Wadakkanchery – Kunnamkulam road in Thrissur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Shiva. The unique Shivling in the temple is known as Rudraksha Lingam. The Shivling is irregular in shape and is of divine origin.

Mathur Shiva Temple at Pannithadam has a big circular sanctum sanctorum (vatta sreekovil) and the darshanam is towards west. Goddess Parvati has a prathishta on the east side of Sreekovil in the temple.

The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ayyappan, Ganapathi, Dakshinamurti and Nagayakshi. All the Upa Devatas face west.

The important festival observed in the temple is Mahashivratri.
