Kothakulangara Sastha Temple is located near on Edakochi – Perumpadappu road in Palluruthy, Ernakulam district, Kerala. The temple is one among the 108 Ayyappan Kavukal in Kerala. The temple is known as Kariyattu Kavu in Thottam pattu which narrates the names of 108 Ayyappa temples in Kerala.
The Sastha murti worshipped in the temple is the Bala Sasthavu (Child form of Sastha). The darshanam of Kothakulangara Sastha is towards east.
The upa devatas worshipped in the temple are Shiva, Ganapati, Bhagavathi and Sarpam.
The 6-day annual festival in the temple concludes on Uthram nakshtra in Dhanu month (December January).
Dhwajam, Valiya ambalam, Nalambalam, Valiya Balikkalu and Oottupura are part of the temple.
