Kadamuri Narasimhaswamy Temple In Vakathanam – Kottayam - Festival - Pujas

Kadamuri Narasimhaswamy temple is located at Kadamuri in Vakathanam village in Kottayam district, Kerala. The temple is around 1 km from Kaithepallam on Kottayam – Karukachal road. The main deity worshipped in the temple is Narasimha Swamy avatar of Bhagwan Vishnu. The darshan of the temple is towards west.

The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathy, Shiva, Bhadrakali, Sastha, Nagam, Rakshas and Yakshi.

Earlier there used to be five pujas and sheeveli in a day. Now there are only three pujas in a day. The temple has a Purapeda Shanti.

The 10-day annual festival begins on Thiruvonam nakshatra in Kumbham month.

The temple once belonged to Vadasseri, Thiruthi, Thamarassery, Perincheri, Narayanamangalam, penyakkamattom and Kolasseri illams in Panniyur Village.

Kaithepalam Subrahmanya Swamy temple and Eravinalloor Subrahmanya – Durga temple are Keezhedams of Kadamuri Narasimha temple.
