Champakara Devi temple is located at Champakara near Karukachal in Kottayam district, Kerala. The main deity worshipped in the temple is Goddess Bhadrakali. The murti is carved in black granite stone (Shila Vigraham). Darshanam of Champakara Devi is towards east.
As per history, Goddess Bhadrakali arrived
here atop the oolakuda or traditional umbrella of Kaithakkatt Karnavar.
The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple
are Kalayakshi and Shiva.
The 10-day annual festival in the temple coincides
with Meena Bharani. Anpoli Vazhipadu is part of the annual festival.
The temple is now administered by NSS Karayogam.
