Kumbapilly Bhagavathi Temple – History - Festival

Kumbapilly Bhagavathi temple is located north of Thiruvaniyoor Kumbapilly bus stop on the Ernakulam – Piravom road in Ernakulam district, Kerala. The 7-day annual festival in the temple is held in such a manner that it ends on Pooram nakshatra day in Meenam month. The festival ends with Guruthi.

There are two temples located here one is the Kumbapilly Bhagavathi temple and the other is the Tuluva Kulangara Sri Krishna temple.

The Bhagavathi worshipped in the temple is of swayambhu sankalpam. Both temples face east.

Kumbapilly Bhagavathi is believed to have an association with the Kodungallur Bhagavathi.

The temple belonged to Periyal  Mana. Now the temple is maintained by Kokkapilli karayogam.
