Arthat Shiva temple is located in Arthat village on Chavakkad – Wadakkanchery road in Thrissur district, Kerala.
The main deity in the temple is Shiva. Ganapathy is worshipped in the temple as Upa Devata. There is also a Vishnu Temple in near proximity. So the temple is also known as Arthat Shiva – Vishnu Temple.
A huge pond is located in front of the temple.
Special rituals are held during Mahashivratri. Vishu is observed in the temple. Thrikarthika is another important ritual in the temple.
A Bhagavathi temple is located nearby.
