Chendathrikkovu Vishnu Temple Near Paliam Palace – Chendamangalam Narasimha Temple

Chendathrikkovu Vishnu Temple is located at Chendamangalam in Ernakulam district, Kerala. The temple is also known as Jayanthathrikkovu and – Chendamangalam Narasimha Temple. The 8-day annual festival in Chendathrikkovu Vishnu temple ends arattu on Thiruvonam nakshatra in Vrischikam month. The festival begins on Chothi nakshatram.

The main murti worshipped in the temple is Narasimha. The murti which faces east is nearly 6 feet high.

The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Sastha along with Poorna and Pushkala. There are also two Ganpati murtis in the temple.

The temple is mentioned in Kokila Sandesham and also in the Vishnu Vilasam of Kunchan Nambiar.

The temple was an important shrine of Paliath Achan, who was a minister in the erstwhile Kochi Kingdom. The temple is maintained by the Paliam trust.
