Padanayarkulangara Mahadeva Temple Festival

Padanayarkulangara Mahadeva Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva and is located at Karunagapally in Kollam District. Padanayarkulangara Mahadeva Temple festival 2021 begins on February 14 and ends on February 24. The annual festival is observed in such a way that the kodiyettam takes place on Pooruruttathi nakshatra and the festival ends with arattu on Thiruvathira nakshatra day.

It is believed that Bhagavan Sri Krishna and Shiva met at this place during their respective journeys.

The Shivling worshipped in the temple is considerably huge. The deity faces east.

The subsidiary deities or upa devatas worshipped in the temple are Vishnu, Ganapathy, Sastha and Nagarajavu.
