Padanayarkulangara Mahadeva Temple Information - Devatas - Festival

Padanayarkulangara Mahadeva Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva and is located at Karunagapally in Kollam District. The annual festival is observed in such a way that the kodiyettam takes place on Pooruruttathi nakshatra and the festival ends with arattu on Thiruvathira nakshatra day in Kumbha Masam.

It is believed that Bhagavan Sri Krishna and Shiva met at this place during their respective journeys.

The Shivling worshipped in the temple is considerably huge. The deity faces east.

The subsidiary deities or upa devatas worshipped in the temple are Vishnu, Ganapathy, Sastha and Nagarajavu.
