Rajju porutham is an important aspect in horoscope matching for marriage especially in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, parts of Telangana and parts of Karnataka.

Ooroo Rajju – Bharani, Pushya (Poosam or Pooyam), Purva Phalguni (Pooram), Anuradha (Anizham), Purvashada (pooradam) and Uttara Bhadra (Uthrittathi)

Nabhi Rajju – Kritika (Kartika), Punarvasu (Punirtham), Uttara Phalguni (Uthiram), Vishaka (Vishakam), Uttara Shada (Uthradam) and Purva Bhadrapada (Pooruruttathi).

Kanta Rajju – Rohini, Ardra (Thiruvathira or Arudara), Hasta (Atham), Swati (Chothi), Shravan (Thiruonam or Sravana) and Shatabhisha (Sadayam or Chathayam)

Siro Rajju – Mrigashirsha (Makayiram), Chithra (Chithirai) and Dhanishta (Sravishta or Avittam)
  • If the nakshatras of the couple come under Padha Rajju they will travel to foreign countries.
  • If the nakshatras of the couple come under Ooroo Rajju there will be loss of property.
  • If the nakshatras of the couple come under Nabhi Rajju there will be loss of offspring.
  • If the nakshatras of the couple come under Kanta Rajju there will be death of wife.
  • If the nakshatras of the couple come under Siro Rajju there will be death of husband.
This the reason why the nakshatras of the couples should not be in the same Rajju.
