Shri Ganga Godavari Temple at Ramkund in Nashik Opens Only Once in Twelve Years During Kumbh Mela

Shri Ganga Godavari Temple is located at Ramkund in Nashik in Maharashtra. The shrine only opens once in twelve years during the Simhastha Kumbh Mela  held at Nashik and Trimbakeshwar. Shri Ganga Godavari Temple at Ramkund opened on July 14, 2015 and shrine will shut its doors for another 12 years on August 11, 2016.

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Godavari – River Godavari.



When the temple is remains closed people offer prayers from outside.

Ramkund is one of the holiest places in the country as there are nearly 108 shrines located here.
