Koradi Mata Mandir – Koradi Devi Temple - Shree Mahalakshmi Jagdamba Mata Temple at Koradi near Nagpur in Maharashtra

Koradi Mata Mandir is a popular shrine dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi at Koradi in Nagpur in Maharashtra. Koradi Devi Temple is located on the banks of Koradi Lake and is around 15 km from Nagpur city center. The most important puja and festival in the temple happen during Navratri. Scores of devotees visit the shrine of Shree Mahalakshmi Jagdamba Mata during the festival.



It is widely believed that Koradi Mata, or Goddess Jagdamba, cures incurable diseases and bless with good health. She blesses her children with peace and prosperity.

The huge murti of Goddess Lakshmi is adorned with a crown. She wears numerous ornaments and is clothed in sari or traditional Maharashtrian dress. A highlight of the murti is the huge benign face – she is the loving mother.

During the Navratri festival, Mother Jagadamba appears in three different stages of life – small girl in the morning, young girl in the afternoon and as a woman during night.

More than 100,000 devotees participate in the Koradi Devi Yatra organized during the Navratri festival (September – October).

The most important offering in the temple is coconut, lemon, red clothes and other aarti materials.
