The temple is believed to have been constructed between 9th
and 10 century AD. The architecture of the small shirne is similar to Nagar
Style prevalent in Orissa.
The main temple consists of a Shivling. There is a murti of
Ganesha, Surya and Nandi in front of the temple. Shivling without any temple
cover is also found in the complex.
There is no priest or worship practice. Devotees do their
own pujas and worship.
The temple attracts huge crowd during Shivratri and Shravan
month.
