Abakash Besha of Jagannath – Picture of Early Morning Form of Jagannath at Puri Jagannath Temple

Abakash Besha is the first form in which a devotee can have darshan of Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra at the Puri Jagannath Temple. Below is the picture of this early morning form of the murtis worshipped in the temple.

On each day early in the morning the deities are adorned with this minimalist vesha for the divine ablutions. The deities are only covered in two pieces of cloth known as ‘Tadap’ and ‘Uttariya’
