Chitraramayanam in Palm Leaves – Ramayan in Pictures in Palm Leaf Kerala University Library

Chitraramayanam is believed to have been created by an unknown artist around 1453 AD. All the important incidents in the Ramayana are drawn on palm leaves using iron pen (Ezhuthani). This unparalleled creation is currently part of the Manuscript Library in Kerala University. C-DIT has brought out a CD of the Chitra Ramayanam and is available for sale.

There are a total of 318 pictures. 7 of them have been lost.
