Tuljapur Bhavani Temple Festival 2025 on Ashwin Purnima – Sri Bhavani Devi Utsav Tulja Bhavani Temple

One of the most important festivals at the Tuljapur Bhavani is held on the Purnima or full moon day in Ashwin month. Sri Bhavani Devi Utsav 2025 date is October 6. Tulja Bhavani is family deity of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and also of thousands of families in Maharashtra and other states.

 Tulja Bhavani is the manifestation of Goddess Shakti – who is worshipped as Ambabai, Jagadamba, Tukai,  Bhagwati and Durga in western parts of India.

Tulja Bhavani Temple is also one of the Shakti Peethas.

Sri Bhavani Devi Utsav is held after the annual Navratri Festival (September – October).

Thousands of devotees arrive on the day at the temple to pay respects to the Goddess, who is also the Family Deity (Kuldaivat) of millions of homes in India.

During this festival, Mother Goddess Tulja Bhavani wakes up from her cosmic sleep which she enters into after Navratri.
