Shambhu Mahadev Yatra is annually held on Shivratri. It is
undertaken to the Shambhu Mahadev Temple located at Kaneri Math in
Kaneri near Kolhapur. Shambhu Mahadev Yatra 2025 date is February 26. The mandir is dedicated to Shiva.
This annual jatra and festival attracts hundreds of
devotees. People also flock to the fair and festival organized during the
period.
The shrine is decorated for the occasion with lamps, lights,
leaves, flowers etc for the occasion. Food donation is also held on the
occasion.
Various rituals are performed during the period.
Shambhu Mahadev Yatra at Kaneri Math is observed on the
Mahashivratri day in Magh month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar
followed in Maharashtra.
