Therefore the temple is also known as Trimurti Temple. Mithranandapuram temple is located to the western side of the world famous Padbhanabhaswamy Temple.

Ganapathi is the subsidiary deity in the shrine. The temple is as old as the nearby Padbhanabhaswamy Temple. The small shrine is a typical example of Kerala style temple architecture.

Lord Brahma is in sitting position. Vishnu is in standing position and Shiva is worshipped in the Shivling form.

The popular belief is that lighting a lamp to Brahma here increases the lifespan.

The main offering to Vishnu is Butter.

Koovalam (bel or bilva) leaves are offered to Shiva.

It must be noted here that temples that are dedicated to Brahma are very rare. This fact also makes this temple unique.
