Meenthalakkara Sree Dharma Sastha temple is an ancient shrine located on the Thiruvalla-Kumbazha road in Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Ayyappa or Sastha. Shiva is an important deity worshipped in the temple.
The utsava murthy form of Meenthalakkara Sree Dharma Sastha is unique as he holds bow in left and an arrow in his right hand. This Ayyappa temple provides shelter to pilgrims during the annual pilgrimage to Sabarimala temple in Mandala Makaravilakku season.
This is a small shrine with a kodimaram and two sreekovils. Important
festivals observed include Shivratri, Karkidaka Ramayana Masam, Thrikartika,
Sabarimala Makaravilakku.
