Badakundri Holemma Devi Ammana Lakshmi Temple

The sacred Badakundri Holemma Devi Ammana Lakshmi Temple is located in Badakundri village, near Hukkeri in the Belagavi district of Karnataka. Situated between the villages of Badakundri and Goudawad, the temple stands peacefully on the banks of the Hiranyakeshi River, approximately 6 km from Hukkeri town.

Shri Holemma Devi (Holevva Devi) is worshipped as the clan goddess (Kuladevi) by many families from North Karnataka and the Maharashtra border regions. Devotees visit the temple throughout the year, especially during Pournima (Hunnime/full moon days) and the grand annual Jathra (fair) held during January and February.

During the festive season, the temple premises become vibrant and spiritually charged, with thousands of devotees gathering to seek blessings. One of the unique traditions of the temple is the use of yellow sacred powder (Bhandara), which covers the temple surroundings during peak celebrations, creating a striking and devotional atmosphere.

The main deity worshipped here is a rare and powerful five-headed idol (Murti) of Goddess Holemma Devi, symbolizing divine protection and strength.
