Madayi Sree Koormbakkavu temple is located at Madayi in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Kurumba. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for three days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam (February 25 to February 27).

Kurumba Kavu temple are Sree Poomala Bhagavathi theyyam, Puthiya Bhagavathi
theyyam, Khandakarnan, Poomaran, Dannan, Madayil Chamumdi, Kundor Chamundi,
Kurathi and Gulikan theyyam.
This is a small traditional Kerala style temple with a chathura sreekovil. The walls and roof of the sanctum are decorated with traditional temple motifs. There are no major structures. Other deities popularly worshipped in Kavu and temples in Kannur region are also worshipped in the temple in small sreekovils, under trees and atop raised square platforms, which are exposed to the elements.
The annual festival days are noted various unique pujas and
rituals, melam, decoration, fireworks and traditional temple performing art
forms.
Sankranti in every Malayalamasam and Vishu are important
days in the temple.
