Cheruvakkara Kuruvanparambu Sree Vishwakarma Bhagavathy temple is located at Cheruvakkara near Kambil in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Vishwakarma, Bhagavathi and other deities. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for three days in Malayalam Dhanu Masam – Dhanu 16 to Dhanu 18 (January 1 to January 3).
Important theyyams that can be witnessed at Kuruvanparambu Sree Vishwakarma Bhagavathy temple are Oorazhassi theyyam, Vishnumoorthi theyyam, Kuttichathan theyyam, Vettakkorumakan theyyam, Thaiparadevatha theyyam, Khandakarnan theyyam, Dharma Daivam and Chonnamma Bhagavathi theyyam.
This is a small beautiful Kerala style temple with
traditional architecture. There is a chathura sreekovil for the main deity.
There are also small sreekovils and square platforms for worshipping subsidiary
deities. Some deities are worshipped under trees. Sankranti in every Malayalam
month is of great importance here.
