Azhikkal Sree Pambadi Alinkeezhil temple is located at Azhikkal in Azhikode North in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Shiva, Parvati and other deities. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for five days in Malayalam Makara Masam – Makaram 24 to Makaram 28 (February 7 to Feb 11).
The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Azhikkal Sree
Pambadi Alinkeezhil temple are Nagakanya theyyam, Gulikan theyyam and
Bhadrakali theyyam.
This is a small shrine with a chathura sreekovil – square
sanctum sanctorum. Some deities are worshipped on square platforms and under
trees. The roof and walls of the main shrine are decorated with traditional
temple motifs. Sankranti in every month is of great significance.
