Thazhe Palliyath Sree Bhagavathi temple is located on the Irikkur Blathur road at Blathoor in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Bhairavan and Goddess Thai Paradevatha. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for three days in Dhanu Masam – Dhanu 22 to Dhanu 24 (January 6 to January 8). The shrine is also known as Thazhe Palliyath Bhairavan Kottam.
The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Thazhe Palliyath Sree Bhagavathi temple are Thai Paradevatha theyyam (Thamburatti theyyam), Bhairavan theyyam, Karivedan theyyam and Kariyathan - Kaikolannum theyyam.
The temple has a small chathur sreekovil – square sanctum
sanctorum. Important rituals are performed on Sankranti day as per Malayalam
calendar. Some deities are worshipped atop small square platforms and under
trees.
