Kunnirikka Muchilottu Bhagavathi temple is located at Kunnirikka near Paduvilayi in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Muchilottu Bhagavathi. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for three days in Malayalam Vrischika Masam – Vrischikam 14 to Vrischikam 16 (November 30 to December 2).
The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Kunnirikka Muchilottu Bhagavathi temple are Muchilottu Bhagavathi theyyam, Narambil Bhagavathy theyyam, Kannangattu Bhagavathy theyyam, Vishnumoorthi theyyam and Puliyoor Kali theyyam.
The main deity is worshipped in a small chathura sreekovil –
square sanctum sanctorum. The roof of the shrine is traditionally decorated
with religious motifs. Other deities are worshiped atop small square platforms
and under trees. Important pujas and rituals are performed on Sankranti day in
every Malayalam month.
