Kanhirapoil Kanhirapoil Kolangattu Tharavadu Padarkulangara Bhagavathi Temple – Theyyam Thira Kaliyattam Festival
Kanhirapoil Kolangattu Tharavadu Padarkulangara Bhagavathi temple is located at Kanhirappoyil in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Padar Kulangara Bhagavathi and numerous other deities that are worshipped in the region. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Vrischika Masam – Vrischikam 11 and Vrischikam 12 (November 27 and November 28).

Tharavadu Padar Kulangara Bhagavathi temple are Padar Kulangara Bhagavathi
theyyam, Kolachan Daivam, Bhootham, Veeranmar, Aryakkara Bhagavathi, Gulikan, Chamundi
and Vishnumoorthi theyyam.
The temple has a chathura sreekovil (square sanctum
sanctorum) for the main deity. The walls and roof of the shrine are decorated
with traditional motifs. There are other smaller sanctums for other deities.
Some deities are worshipped atop small square platforms and under trees. The
temple performs special pujas and rituals on Sankranti day. This is a family
maintained private temple.
