Kadangod Koyamburam Kalichan Devasthanam temple is located at Kadangod near Cheruvathur in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Kalichan Daivam and other related deities worshipped in kavu in the region. The annual theyyam – kaliyattam festival in the temple is held for two days in Malayalam Thula Masam – Thulam 25 to Thulam 26 (November 11 and November 12).
The important theyyams that are part of the annual
kaliyattam – thira festival at Kadangod Koyamburam Kalichan Devasthanam are Kalichan
Daivam theyyam, Dharma Daivam, Guru Daivam, Ekathiriyappan theyyam,
Sathyamurthi theyyam and Chamundeshwari theyyam.
The temple has a main chathura sreekovil for the main deity.
Other deities that are popularly worshipped in tharavadu, kavu and temples in
Kannur region are worshipped in square platforms and small sreekovil. Yearly Vishu
and monthly Sankranti days are important in the temple. This is a small
privately maintained temple.
