Poinachi Padinharekkara Kammatta Tharavadu Temple – Theyyam Thira Kaliyattam Festival – Famous For Rare Theyyams
Poinachi Padinharekkara Kammatta Tharavadu temple is located at Poinachi in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival here is famous for some rare and unique theyyam kolams. The theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Dhanu Masam – Dhanu 8 and Dhanu 9 (December 24 and December 25).

മാണിച്ചിയും മക്കളും, ബംബേരിയന് തെയ്യക്കോലങ്ങള് കെട്ടിയാടും.
Dhanu 9 morning കണ്ടംകലയന്, മൂത്തോര് തെയ്യങ്ങള്.
The temple has a small chathura sreekovil for the main deity.
The main puja in a month is observed on the Sankranti day as per traditional Malayalam
calendar. The other deities in the temple are given spaces in small sreekovil,
atop raised small square platform and under trees.
