Nadol Sree Bhagavathi temple is located on Ice Road near Railway Station Road at Pakkayil near, Vatakara, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Bhagavathy. The annual thira theyyam kaliyattam festival is held for three days in Malayalam Dhanu Masam – Dhanu 8 to Dhanu 10 (December 24 to December 26).
The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Nadol Sree Bhagavathi temple are Kaitha Chamundi theyyam, Vasoorimala Bhagavathy, Kuttichathan theyyam, Gulikan, Muthappan, Kodungalloor Amma, Kattu Moorthy, Mutha Karnavar, Kandakarnan theyyam and Manathana Pothi theyyam.
The shrine is mainly open on Sankranti day in a month as per
traditional Malayalam calendar. The main deity is worshipped in traditional chathura
sreekovil – square sanctum sanctorum. Other deities are worshipped under trees
and atop small raised square platforms.
