Bedakam Valiyaveedu Kamalon Tharavadu Temple – Theyyam Kaliyattam Festival

Bedakam Valiyaveedu Kamalon Tharavadu temple is located at Bedakam in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to various deities commonly worshipped in kavu and tharavadu in the region. The annual kaliyattam theyyam thira festival is held for two days in Malayalam Dhanu Masam – Dhanu 10 to Dhanu 11 (December 25 to December 26).

The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Padarkulangara Bhagavathy, Gulikan theyyam, Padinjare Chamundi theyyam and Vishnumoorthi theyyam.

The temple has a small chathura sreekovil for the main deity. There is another smaller square sanctum. A deity is worshipped atop square platform and other deities under trees.
