Mathodam Kovvummal Tharavadu Vayanattukulavan temple is located at Mathodam near Kannadiparamba in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Vayanattu Kulavan and other associated deities. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Kumbha Masasm – Kumbham 2 to Kumbham 3 (February 14 to Feb 15).
The main deity is worshipped in a small chathura sreekovil –
traditional Kerala style square sanctum sanctorum. Other important deities are
either worshipped in smaller sanctum or atop square raised platforms. Some
deities are worshipped under trees.

Kovvummal Tharavadu Vayanattukulavan temple are Elladath Bhagavathy theyyam,
Kudiveeran theyyam, Puliyoor Kannan theyyam, Thekkan Gulikan theyyam and
Vayanattu Kulavan theyyam.
