Kuniyan Puzhakkara Perumudikkavu temple is located at Kuniyan near Karivellur in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Makara Masam – Makaram 28 to Makaram 29 (February 11 to February 12).
This is a small temple with chathura sreekovil – square
sanctum sanctorum – for the main deities. Upa devatas are worshipped under
trees, small sanctum and atop raised square platform. Sankranti in every Malayalam
month is of great significance. Vishu is an important festival here.

Oorpazhassi theyyam, Vettakkorumakan theyyam and Vishnumoorthi theyyam.

കുണിയൻ പുഴക്കര പെരുമുടിക്കാവ് ഭഗവതിക്ഷേത്ര കളിയാട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ചെമ്മങ്ങാട്ട് തറവാട്ടിൽ നിന്നും കൊണ്ടുവന്ന പന്നിച്ചൂട്ട് (പുഴക്കരചൂട്ട്) കൗതുകമായി. 24 മടൽ തെങ്ങോല ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ്
എട്ട് മീറ്ററോളം നീളത്തിലുള്ള ചൂട്ട് ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നത്. ചെമ്മങ്ങാട്ട് തറവാട്ടിൽനിന്ന്
കൊണ്ടുവരുന്ന കലശത്തിന് അകമ്പടിയായാണ് വാദ്യഘോഷങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം
ചൂട്ടും കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നത്.
