Ellarinji Vettakkorumakan temple is located at Ellarinji near Sreekandapuram in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Vettakkorumakan and Oorpazhassi. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 18 and Kumbham 19 (March 2 and March 3).
This is a small shrine with a chathura sreekovil – square
sanctum sanctorum. Some deities are worshipped on square platforms and under
trees. Vishu is an important festival here. Sankranti in every month is of
great significance.
