Choorappadavu Vishnumoorthi temple is located at Choorappadavu near Prapoyil in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Vishnumoorthi (Narasimha Avatar of Bhagavan Vishnu). The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held at Choorappadavu Vishnumoorthi temple for two days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 2 to Kumbham 3 (February 14 to Feb 15).
The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Choorappadavu Vishnumoorthi temple are Vishnumurthy theyyam, Gulikan theyyam, Muthappan, Karimchamundi, Pottan Daivam and Rakta Chamundi.
This is a small shrine with a square sanctum sanctorum
(chathura sreekovil) for the main deities. The roof and walls are traditionally
decorated. Other deities are worshipped in smaller chathura sreekovil. Some
deities are worshiped atop raised square platforms. Certain deities are
worshiped under trees. Sankranti in every Malayalam month is of significance
here. Vishu festival is of importance here.

വിഷ്ണുമൂര്‍ത്തി ക്ഷേത്രം പ്രതിഷ്ഠാദിനാഘോഷവും കളിയാട്ടവും Feb 14-15 ദിവസങ്ങളില്‍ നടക്കും. 14-ന് നടപ്പന്തല്‍ സമര്‍പ്പണം, കലവറനിറയ്ക്കല്‍
ഘോഷയാത്ര. ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക്
അന്നദാനം. രണ്ടിന് മുത്തപ്പന്‍ വെള്ളാട്ടം, രാത്രി എട്ടുമുതല്‍ വിവിധ തെയ്യങ്ങളുടെ പുറപ്പാട്. 10-ന് കാഴ്ചവരവ്. Feb 15 പുലര്‍ച്ചെ നാലുമുതല്‍
പൊട്ടന്‍ ദൈവം, കരിഞ്ചാമുണ്ഡി,
വിഷ്ണുമൂര്‍ത്തി, രക്തചാമുണ്ഡി, ഗുളികന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ തെയ്യക്കോലങ്ങള്‍ കെട്ടിയാടും.
ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 12.30 മുതല്‍ അന്നദാനം നടക്കും.
