Kaitheri Purakkandi Muthappan Bhagavathy temple is located at Kaitheri in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Muthappan Bhagavathy. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 27 to Kumbham 28 (March 11 and March 12).
This is a small shrine with a main sreekovil – square sanctum
sanctorum. Other important deities are worshipped on even smaller sreekovil, on
raised platforms and under trees. Vishu and Sankranti are important days in the
shrine.

theyyam.
