Chepparambu Puthiya Bhagavathy temple is located at Nediyanga near Sreekandapuram in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Puthiya Bhagavathi and is a Shakti worship center. The shrine is also dedicated to numerous deities that are worshipped in tharavadu and kavu in the region. The annual theyyam – kaliyattam – thira festival is held for two days in Malayalam Meda Masam – (May 1 and May 2) (Medam 18 and Medam 19).
The temple has a main small chathura sreekovil (square sanctum sanctorum). There are also other small square platforms and sreekovil for worshipping other deities.
The annual festival begins with Kalavaranirakkal Goshayatra.
Numerous rituals and pujas that are popular in the region are performed during
the two-day festival.
The important theyyams that are part of the annual kaliyattam festival are Puthiya Bhagvathy theyyam, Veera Kali theyyam and Veeran Theyyam.
