Porkulangara Bhagavathy theyyam (പോർകുളങ്ങര ഭഗവതി തെയ്യം) is a rare Mother Goddess Bhagavathi theyyam worshipped during the annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival in Kannur region of Kerala. As per information, this theyyam is a manifestation of Goddess Kali. As per Porkulangara Bhagavathy theyyam story, she appeared at a tharavadu in the region and was given a place of worship. She protected the family and region from demons and blessed the people with good health and prosperity. As respect and to seek her blessings, a theyyam is performed annually.
Porkulangara Bhagavathy theyyam is a peaceful theyyam. She blessed devotees with peace, prosperity and good health. She is also worshipped to have healthy and intelligent children.
She has a unique thirumudi or headgear.
