Ilamkolam is a fierce theyyam usually performed at night during the annual kaliyattam thira theyyam festival in Kannur district of Kerala. The story of Ilamkolam theyyam is that of divine being appearing to protect the wealth and life of pious devotees from people who practice adharma.
