Edalapurath Chamundi Theyyam is a rare theyyam that is presented during the annual theyyam thira and kaliyattam festival in Kannur region of Kerala. As per information, Edalapurath Chamundi theyyam is associated with Goddess Shakti and other Mother Goddess worship (Bhagavathy) seen in this part of the region. Edalapurath Chamundi story is that of her appearing from a 41 day homa. She was one among the 7 devis that appeared from the homa.
