Taliparamba Vannarath Kunharukurathiyamma Devasthanam Temple – Theyyam Festival

Taliparamba Vannarath Kunharukurathiyamma Devasthanam temple is located at Taliparamba in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Kunharu Kurathi Amma and a host of deities that are worshipped in the tharavadu and kavu in the region. The annual kaliyattam theyyam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Thula masam (Thulam 10 and Thulam 11) – October 27 and October 28).

The important theyyams that are part of the annual theyyam – kaliyattam festival are Gulikan theyyam, Kunharu Kurathi Amma theyyam, Puthiya Bhagavathi theyyam and Thottinkara Bhagavathy theyyam.

The temple has a square sanctum (chathura sreekovil). Other deities are worshipped on square platforms and smaller sanctum.
