Kannapuram Thekkan Kariyathan temple is located at Kannapuram in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to a host of deities that are worshipped in the tharavadu and kavu in the region. The annual kaliyattam theyyam festival is held for three days in Malayalam Dhanu masam (Dhanu 25 to Dhanu 27 ) – January 9 to January 11).
The important theyyams that are part of the annual theyyam – kaliyattam festival are Bhairavan theyyam, Gulikan theyyam, Vishnumoorthi theyyam, Thaiparadevatha theyyam, Thekkan Kariyathan theyyam, Uchitta Bhagavathy theyyam, Kaikkolan theyyam, Karuvaal theyyam and Sasthappan theyyam.
The temple has two square sanctums (chathura sreekovil). Other deities are worshipped on square platforms and smaller sanctum.
