Kanhangad Athiyal Choyikkunnummal Sree Madiyan Vannan Tharavad temple is located at Kanhangad in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi and several other deities that are part of tharavadu and kavu in Kannur region. Annual theyyam kaliyattam festival in the temple is held for two days in Malayalam Thulam and Vrischika Masam – Thulam 30 and Vrischikam 1 – November 16 and November 17.
This is a traditional temple seen in Kannur region with chathura sreekovil. Subsidiary deities are worshipped in smaller sanctum sanctorum and square platforms.
The theyyam that are performed during the annual Kaliyattam festival are Vishnumoorthi theyyam, Uchoolikadavath Bhagavathy theyyam, Padinjare Chamundi theyyam, Gulikan theyyam, Dhandayanghanathu Bhagavathy theyyam, Anchanangum Bhootham theyyam, Monthi Kolam theyyam and Mulavannoor Bhagavathy theyyam.
