Vaduthala Ganapathy Temple

Vaduthala Ganapathy temple is located at Vaduthala, Kochi, Ernakulam district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Ganesha or Ganapati. The temple is managed by the Konkani community. The annual festival in the temple is held in March. Vinayaka Chaturthi is another important festival in the temple.

This is a traditional east facing shrine with a namaskara mandapam, chuttambalam, kodimaram and temple pond. The temple has a chathura sreekovil.

The annual festival in the temple is famous for caparisoned elephants, melam, Ganapati homam, various archanas, abhishekams and pujas. Kodiyettam, pallivetta and pakal pooram are part of the festival. The festival concludes with arattu ceremony. Vanchiyeduppu and sheeveli are unique rituals part of the festival.

The temple observes various rituals including the monthly Sankashti Chaturthi vrat. Modak is an important offering in the shrine.
