Pengad Arulippuram Vishnu Temple – Bali Tharpanam – 27 Birth Star Trees

Pengad Arulippuram Vishnu temple is located at Pengad near Neelangoth in Malappuram district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Maha Vishnu. Nakshatra Vanam or trees associated with 27 birth stars is found in the temple compound. Vavu Bali and Pitru Tharpanam and other ancestral rites can be performed in the temple on all days.

The temple has an east facing vatta sreekovil, namaskara mandapam, and chuttambalam. The upa devatas worshipped in the temple are Bhagavathi, Ganapathi, Sastha, Navagrahas, Nagas and Ayyappa.

Ashtami Rohini is an important festival in the temple.

The shrine observes Vishu, Bhagavatha Sapthaha yajnam, Prathishta dinam, Ramayana Masam, Ekadashi on every fortnight and other important Vaishnava days in a calendar year.
