Vadakkekara Chakkumarassery Srikumara Ganesha Mangalam temple is located at Vadakkekara, Kochi, Kerala. The 6-day annual festival concludes on the day after Vishu. The shrine is dedicated to Ganapathy and Subramanya swamy.
This is a beautiful Kerala temple with a magnificent chuttambalam, kodimaram, namaskara mandapam and chathurs sreekovil (s). The main upa devata here is Ganapathy.
Aanathala pokkam, a competition between tallest elephants in Kerala, is a major highlight of the festival. Caparisoned elephants, melam, colorful kavadi procession and traditional temple art forms are part of the festival.
The shrine also observes special pujas during Thaipooyam, Vinayaka Chaturthi, Skanda Sashti and during the monthly Sashti fasting days.
