Muttichur Ayyappankavu Temple – Festival

Muttichur Ayyappankavu temple is located on Francis Lane - Padiyam Road at Muttichur near Padiyam in Thrissur district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Ayyappa. The annual Pratishta festival in the temple is held in Malayalam Meda Masam (April – May).

This is a small Kerala style temple. There are no huge structures and is surrounded by water bodies and coconut palms.

The annual festival in the temple is famous for ezhunnallathu, melam, and caparisoned elephants.

The annual Mandala Makaravilakku kalam (Mid November to Mid January) is an important period in the temple.
