Balaramapuram Agasthiar Swamy temple is located at Pazhayakadalane - Saligothra Theruv in Balaramapuram, Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Sage Agastya or Agasthiyar and Lopamudra. Vishu Kani darshan on April 14 or April 15 on Medam 1 is of great importance at the shrine.
The upa devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathi, Shiva, Krishna, Murugan and Navagrahas.
The temple belongs to Saliyar community who are famous for weaving Balaramapuram Kasavu sarees.
The temple has a beautiful
gopuram with colorful sculptures. The architecture of the temple is influenced
by Dravidian architecture. The chuttambalam also sculptures of Gods and
Goddesses. The temple carries murtis around in procession during the annual
festival.
