Mannur Kaima Kunnathu Bhagavathi Temple – Festival

Mannur Kaima Kunnathu Bhagavathi temple is located at Manoor near Pathiripala in Palakkad district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy. The annual Thalappoli festival in the temple is held in Meena Masam (March – April). Tholpavakoothu (Puppet Play) is held every night in the months of February and March, till the Pooram Festival which falls on the second Tuesday of Meenam month.

The annual festival is known as Mannur Vela. There are no elephants participating in the festival here. Kala and Kuthira (huge effigies of horses and ox) are pulled to the temple during the festival.

 The annual festival is more famous for traditional performing art forms of Kerala. A music festival is held during the period.

This is a small temple with a chathura sreekovil or square sanctum sanctorum.

The shrine also observes Navratri and Thrikarthika festival.

The annual pratishta festival in the temple is held in Malayalam Edava masam (May - June).
