Kidangannoor Pallimukkathu Devi Temple - Festival

Kidangannoor Pallimukkathu Devi temple is located at Kidangannoor in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Devi or Bhagavathy. The annual Kumbha Bharani festival held in Kumbha Masam (February – March) is an important festival in the temple. The shrine also observes the temple annual festival on Meena Bharani day.

This is a traditional Kerala style temple with a chathura sreekovil. The shrine faces east. The temple has chuttambalam, namaskara mandapam, shrines of upa devatas and kodimaram or dhwaja stambha (flag pole).

Padayani is an important ritual in the temple during festival.

The shrine also has jeevatha ezhunnallathu.

The annual festival is also famous for the arrival of Kala- huge twin effigies of ox are pulled into the temple compound during the annual festival.
