Keezhattingal Subrahmanya Temple – Festival

Keezhattingal Subrahmanya temple is located at Keezhattingal in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Murugan or Subrahmanya. The temple observes the annual festival in Meena Masam (March – April).

This is a beautiful Kerala traditional temple with a nalambalam, namaskara mandapam, kodimaram (flag pole) and shrines of upa devatas. The shrine has a chathura sreekovil. Kollampuzha River flows nearby.

The annual festival is famous for abhishekam and various Murugan temple rituals and pujas. Kavadiyattam, performing art forms of Kerala and melam are part of the annual festival. The temple also performs Shoolam Kuthal ritual.

The shrine also observes Thaipooyam and Skanda Sashti festival.
