Iringath Kupperikavu Bhagavathy Temple – Festival

Iringath Kupperikavu temple is located at Iringath near Meppayur in in Kozhikode district, Kerala. Kupperi kavu temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy. The annual Chomappan varavu festival at Kupperi Kavu is held in Meena Masam.

This is small typical Bhagavathy temple that one sees in many areas of Kozhikode region.

The annual festival in the temple is famous for a colorful procession with melam and pujas and rituals. The annual festival is famous for Thalappoli for two days - the first day festivities is known as Cheriya Thalappoli. Valakam koodal is another important ritual during the annual festival. 

The annual pratishta festival in the temple is held in malayalam Edava masam (May - June).
